How it started
Four generations of the Trott family in the motorcycle trade, over 90 years, beginning in Birmingham, England and later London.
Fred Trott I and Fred Trott II sold whatever they could get their hands on.
Fred Trott III moved from London to San Antonio in 1969, worked at Cycle World on Broadway, and opened The Motorcycle Shop in 1978.
Four generations
Run today by the Trott family — Fred and Gwen Trott, Jason and Jenny Trott. Fred Trott IV moved back to London to open his own motorcycle shop.
Family owned and operated since day one. The mod target roundel in our logo is a nod to the 1960s British scooter culture and the family's English roots.
What we do
The Motorcycle Shop is an authorized Royal Enfield and Vespa dealer. We buy, sell and trade all brands of motorcycles and scooters.
Took on Kymco scooters in summer 2000, then added Genuine Scooter Company and others. Typically around 100 scooters in stock.

Ride with us
The annual "Spring Fling" scooter ride — the 6th drew over 115 scooters.
Wednesday night summer rides leave the shop at 6:30 PM for Specht's Country Store near Bulverde.
Those rides began as motorcycle rides and became scooter rides.
