*SOLD* But we have new ones in stock at very reasonable prices!

The world of dual-sport and adventure bikes is a complex one, indeed. At one end of the spectrum are the lightweight 250cc bikes, like the Kawasaki KLX250S. At the other end lie the screamingly powerful (and heavy…and tall) 1200cc bikes like the Ducati Multistrada. So perhaps that makes the Himalayan the Goldilocks of this class. Not too big, not too small. Not so heavy, but not so light it gets whipped around on the freeway.

The Himalayan ultimately puts the “adventure” into this kind of bike. It is named after the mountain range where it is indeed commonly seen. If you ever go on one of those adventure bike tours of Nepal, this is likely the bike you would be riding. With a displacement of 400cc’s, it’s not a high-performance screamer, but that’s not what this bike is about. Instead, it’s perfectly capable of getting you up into the Hill Country in style, where you’ll see a gravel road and think to yourself, “Where does this road go?” And that’s where this bike shines. Low water crossing, no problem! The road becomes a rutted track, go for it! Or if you want to tour cross-country, finding the roads less-traveled, well here’s your traveling companion.

This bike has only 650 miles and just got its initial service — that’s a great bonus! It has already been nicely accessorized with engine guards, along with saddlebags and racks. Get on it and ride! Finally, since we’re an official Royal Enfield dealer, you’ll have no worries when it comes to parts and service.

And now for your entertainment…here’s a great video review from some pleasant fellows over in India who not only do an unbiased comparison of the Himalayan against two formidable competitors, but they also pronounce “Himalayan” correctly. Then check out the photo gallery of this particular bike below that. Enjoy!
