Sorry, you can’t buy this one. It’s mine!

Update: Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we will be open by appointment only. Curbside service will also be available. Just give us a phone call to let us know you’re coming. (And of course, please bring your mask.) We want to keep our customers, our employees and our families safe!

A lot of us have been cooped up in the house lately, which is a great way to go stir crazy. I’ve discovered that my best therapy is something I’ve been doing for a long time — get on my bike and ride. Since I live close to downtown, it’s been enjoyable to take advantage of the lack of traffic and cruise around on my 1978 Hondamatic. It’s become a daily habit. There’s always something new to see. And it’s a great form of social distancing!

At The Motorcycle Shop, we’ve seen a recent surge of business as other people are thinking the same thing. Since we reopened the shop, there has been a huge demand for motorcycles and scooters. After all, it’s easy to keep at least 6 feet away from others! But don’t worry, we’ve still got lots of inventory ready for you to check out.

If you’re wondering what kind of bike to get, it all depends on your needs.

For those wanting a motorcycle, it all depends on what kind of riding you’d like to do. If you live in the city or relatively close in, a smaller-displacement motorcycle is an ideal choice. The Kymco Spade 150 and K-Pipe 125 — along with the SYM Wolf 300 — are fun, light motorcycles that will get you around town with a smile on your face. If you need to get on the freeway (and many of us do), the Royal Enfield INT650 and GT650 are a perfect choice at a very reasonable price. They are truly great all-around motorcycles.

When it comes to scooters, we’ve got it all! The Motorcycle Shop is San Antonio’s premier scooter dealer, offering everything from Vespas (we’re the official dealer) to moped-class scooters which require no motorcycle license. (Regardless, we recommend you take a Motorcycle Safety Course. You won’t regret it.) So it all depends on your needs and wants. Again, where are you planning to ride? We actually have several scooters that are freeway-capable — it’s always fun to get out there on a scooter. People look at you kinda funny…they just don’t realize that scooters can be fast.

On the other hand, if your plans are to ride to the grocery store and around your neighborhood, we have a number of smaller models that you will enjoy. So many, in fact, that I’m not going to try to list them all. Check out our latest inventories here on our website, then come in and visit. We can help find the scooter that fits your needs.

Speaking of visiting the showroom, we are 100% open for business, while following CDC guidelines. Our shop is roomy enough that it’s easy to practice social distancing, and I’ve never seen more than 10 people in there at a time. Weather permitting, we keep the doors open. You’re welcome to come in and shop with confidence. If you just want to browse, please say so. Looking for some guidance? Please ask! We’re here to guide you. No pressure, no nonsense. And we don’t sell anything like extended warranties and all that other stuff. We sell scooters and motorcycles, period.

Looking forward to seeing you!
